Do they allow you to try on the colr for your contacts before you buy?!

Question: I'm thinking about getting colored contacts, i already have pretty decent vision and i just want them to stand out a bit. And i've been debating between a couple of colors (*green, Grey, and sapphire)so i was curiouse to if when you buy them, do u have to immediatly tell them what color, or can you try them on to see what you like best?

Also, if u have a free trial certificate for some contacts, how much would it cost for everything else (fitting & appointment, w/ insurance covering 75%)

Optometrists can order trial lenses in any color for you to try, you just have to find an office that will do that for you. Just ask them when you call to set up an appointment. A good tech/doctor will be able to help you select a color too. I usually offer patients a couple of colors and have them take them home to show friends/family before deciding.
Usually, if you have a trial certificate you can't use insurance. Its a one-or-the-other type of offer. Fitting fees vary from office to office so its based on the quotes you can get in your area. A private practice is likely to be more expensive than a chain. You might expect to pay $50-$100 for the fitting; if you use insurance it will be based on the contracted amount between the doctor's office and the insurance and that varies between providers.

some eye doctors have sample lens you can try.
Your doctor will let yo know if you can wear colored contacts...I can't =(

Most Optometry offices and some Opthamology offices DO have trails you and try on. Good luck!
