Can you get a bug bite inside your eye?!

Question: my sister has a bump and it itches...what else would it be

Answers: my sister has a bump and it itches...what else would it be

It depends upon the location of the bug bite. If it is on her lid, it would be like any other bug bite on her skin...except be very careful if she uses creams or ointments near her eye. If the "bite" is on her eye and feels a foreign body sensation, she may want to see an eye doctor to make sure that there isn't any piece of the bug left in her eye. This may cause an abrasion.

If she is still having symptoms tomorrow, I would have her go to the eye doc to get it checked out. It never hurts to get a check up.

I do not think that it is a sty because styes are usually painful. It also depends on if the itch occured before the bite. If her eyes were itchy before, she may have allergies (although probably unlikely this time of year). It sounds more like something related to the bug bite to me.

Yea, you can.. im not an eye expert, but i think you should take her to the eye doctor...

Perhaps conjunctivitis or a sty or an insect bite or debris caught between the lids.

It's probably a sty, not a bug bite.

Have your sister go see a doctor. It might not be a bug bite, and eyes tend to be sensitive, so you need to be careful with them. It could be a whole host of other conditions, some of which can cause permanent vision loss, so it needs to be diagnosed and treated properly by a doctor.

That's a sty. and it sucks to have one.
If she can take Ibuprofen that will help and the old hot/cold pack works too. it really just has to run it's course. tell her touching it and rubbing it just makes it look more red and nasty.
Also it could be an ingrown eyelash. it really doesn't matter tho the treatment is the same. It could be a herpe too which would really, really suck and still. The treatment is the same :( dont touch it and don't YOU touch it either. use a clean cloth and and hot pack each time.and I would go to Yahoo Answer Hell if I don't tell you to go to the Dr. So ... Have her go to the Dr.
Ow... good luck with that :(
