Are all contact lens brands' prescriptions the same?!

Question: I mean like, if I wear one brand, but I was going to order another brand on the internet, wouldn't my prescription be the same? Do I need to get my doc to write me another prescription if I just want to change brands?

Your doctor prescribes your brand so check w/your doctor before you order any new brands online

Yes, all brands are the same prescription-wise
The only difference is slight in the materials

no, the prescription is the same. However, i would recommend seeing your doctor anyway and asking for a trial pair. He can make sure your prescription hasn't changed since your last visit.

They are all different. I have an astigmatism and I have to have special ones. I would talk to your doc before getting them. So you don't waist money on nonreturnable items.

NO NO NO. ive tried all kinds...of ever contact ive used acuvue advance is by far the best. alot of contacts will dry out in your eyes over the course of the day....these wont :) i dont recomend this, but i dont take my contacts out for weeks at a time...not even to sleep. and i wake up and they still feel fresh.

you have to have your doc write another rx so that you can change brands... the way they fit may be different...

You need to check with you doctor because its somewaht different. Cause like i once wanted this brand, but my doctor had a differnt brand on my prescription, so i couldn't get the other brand. So if you want another type of brand, go to your doctor and ask him to write you another prescription.

Brands are different.. perscriptions are, well just the perscription of your eye lol........ i recomend acuvue, i tried them once, there nice.. but i never really got them in and out, but thats why im gonna try agian soon...AnYwAyS, you shouldnt do an internet thing, just go to your eye doc, thats always the right way.. umm yea, you need to get an exam if you think your eyes changed.....ohh! i see.. you just want to see if you can get a new brand without going to the doc and getting a new perscription.. right? sorry i might have the wrong idea..lol.. umm
Just go to your doc and ask him yourself..
