No it doesn't. I just got my contacts four days ago, and it doesn't hurt at all! You'll love them...It just takes a lot of patience at first. When I was in the doctors office while they were supervising me putting them in and taking it out, it took me over an hour to get them out. I was so afraid. But practice makes perfect! Now, it takes me less than a minute to take them both out. It took me a while to get used to the idea of touching the contact on your eye. You don't actually touch your eyes, just the contact. You slide it down to the white part of your eye with your index finger, and with your thumb waiting there, you just grab it off. You could always slide it to the outside of your eye (opposite of tear duct) and grab it. Have fun, and don't be afraid!

it just feels weird. you get used to it

You really don't touch the colored part of your eye. You touch your contact, by pinching it with your finger (not your nail). So no it doesn't really hurt if you do it correctly. It feels wierd at first, but you quickly get used to it.

No, it doesn't hurt, unless it is really sticking to your eye, but that only happens when you're wearing those ones that you wear at night. If it is sticking to your eye really strongly, I suggest using your finger to gently swirl the contact lens until it becomes loose and easy to move around. Doing this too hard will hurt, but it shouldn't if you're doing it right. Sometimes, this doesn't work, and you need eye drops before you take it out. The lens prevents you from feeling any pain. When you first get them it might hurt since your eyes still aren't used to it.

No it doesnt hurt as all.

You don't touch the eye, just the contact lens.
And no, it doesn't hurt.

What DOES hurt is if you get something in your eye--it hurts 50 times WORSE than it does without contacts in.
