Scratched cornea-how long should I wait to wear my contacts again?!

Question: A couple of days ago I scratched my cornea, a very small tear that really only caused mild discomfort for a couple of hours. To be on the safe side, I haven't been wearing my contacts to avoid causing anymore damage. It has been 2 days, my eye hasn't been irritated, and the hole I had seen in my cornea seems to be gone...can I start wearing my contacts again or should I wait a while longer?

The tissue that has been scratched on your eye might still be weak. To be on the safe side, i'd wait atleast 3 more days.

Good Luck!

it depends on the extent of the defect. but it should totally heal by a week. but if you could see that there was a "hole" it must be rather significant. well, you can try, but remove your contacts immediately if you feel pain
