Tried someone's glasses and made no difference?!

Question: I have myopia (-3.75) but no astigmatism whatsoever (my doc told me so).
Well the other day I was wearing my contacts and saw my aunt wearing a frame I loved, so i tried her glasses on to see how they looked on me. The fact is that she has 1.5D astigmatism and I didn't notice it! I could see as if I had plano glasses over my contacts. Is this even possible?
I'm positive I don't have astigmatism, much less to such degree!(I wouldn't be surprised if her glasses had been .25, but 1.50 is quite a lot not to notice!

The lenses of your eyes simply accommodate and make it clear. I don't think it means anything at all about your prescription. I will wager that if you kept her specs on for more than a minute you would start to feel the strain of your eyes compensating.

haha, you sound like me about 3 months ago when I tried my friends -.75 glasses... I am -1.75 and honestly didn't notice a bloody difference either

i think he also had minor astigmatism and I dont but didn't notice any change... basically his glasses made me feel like I wasnt wearing glasses at all and its only 1 diopter difference!
