Maybe you do have dry eye syndrome.
See an ophthalmologist to find out for sure.
There are some great eye drops available (Restasis) for chronic dry eyes but they must be prescribed by an eye doctor.
And glasses might be much more comfortable while working on your computer for long periods of time.

Hey! Thank you, so much. I really appreciate that.
And I hope that you will be feeling better, soon. Report It

  • You've been on the computer too long.
Take your contacts out and go shut your eyes for a little bit.

It's not normal, and it's not the light.

Yeah it's normal. It's from staring at something for too long and in turn not blinking as much as you should be. Contacts suck, yet I wear them too. Something I found out today: being around wet paint dries them out like crazy!

you probably need to get some glasses to wear for the computer

It could be the light but I thinks most likely from looking at the computer too long. It happens to me too when I wear my contacts.

You may not realize it, but you are probably staring too intently at the screen. Do blink your eyes constantly. It helps to keep your eyes moist. As well, drink lots of water during this colder season of the year. And cut back on diuretics such as coffee and tea. Hope that helps.

It depends on your contact lens. I use Acuvue contact lens and they stay moist. You can get re-wetting drops if you eyes feel too dry at times. I would suggest using Opti-free, it's one of the top brands for contact lens.

yeah i have contacts in right now, and they get irritating every now and then, especially in the corner.

take 'em out and put on your glasses, also, when you wear your contacts remember to blink a lot to moisten your eyeballs, do you have any eye drops to put in your eyes?

Its because when we're looking at a computer, we tend to blink less, and they just get dried out faster.

Just keep some contact eyedrops by you

    and yes its normal
    :)

You are right.....looking into the computer blue sen can somting hurt your eyes. *****

It's normal for a pair of thin material in your eyes that drys out. The reason for this is when you blink your eyes, the eye lid takes water away.
