Stye near eye?!

Question: I went to the doctor's about 4 months ago and he confirmed that there's a stye near my left eye. It's about this far from the opening of my eye: ---

Anyways, I just thought it was weird, cause looking at stye pictures online, it's always on the eye...

Anyways, it's been 4 months and it has not healed, what should I do?

you know ive had several stye before i went to my doctor he suggested i get a warm towel and place on my eye for about 15 mins twice a day and try it for a month if it doesnt work then youll need the doctor to get it out but ive had 4 and they have always gone away

I used to get styes quite a bit when I was a teenager. It almost seem like some kind of pimple. I don't even remember how long I had one. Mine went away on their own though. Four months sounds like an awful long time. I'm not sure what you could do to get rid of that. Just make sure you do not squeeze it or anything like that. Maybe talk to your eye doc again about what to do.

I just found a site that said you COULD squeeze the infection out of it....

At the office I work at if it's a sty and it's been over a month we will do an excision maybe you should ask about having this done. There is also a possibility if it's that far from the eye that it is a cyst, but the treatment is still the same I would ask about giving it removed.
Also I would highly recommend NOT squeezing it yourself, have a professional do it so it doesn't get infected.

Stye is like a small somtimes big pimple on the eyelid and the only way that i know it would heal is with warm compress

I still have my stye and my dr. prescriped pills for me and told me to use a warm wash cloth
