it could be a lot of things. Is it red and swollen? Does it itch unbearably? Does it hurt? Is it inside the eyelid? Are you having trouble seeing?

If yes to these, you should check with a doctor, the sooner the better.

If it's near a tear duct or on the outside of the lid, and it doesn't hurt, you can probably wait and see. A warm washcloth held on it might help it go down.

It sounds like it could be a stye.

Mine go away on their own.

Oh, and I would advise against pushing on it or playing with it in any way. I've learned that doing that actually makes the stye worse and can cause it to swell up more and take longer to heal.

I've heard a good way to get rid of styes is to put a warm compress on it and to stretch the area with your finger tips.. pull on skin near the stye and hold it there for a while. It's like an exercise, almost.

--- IT COULD VERY WELL BE A STYE; ALL OF MINE HAVE BEEN NORMAL SKIN COLOR. Not trying to yell, just trying to get your attention.

http://images.google.com/images?client=f... Take a look at these pictures. The picture that you saw is a guy with a stye that's inflamed. He was probably screwing with it.

have u consulted a doctor? what colour is tht lump of yours? does it cause any irritation such as itchiness??
