Why is my eyesight getting worse?!

Question: throughout middle school i wore glasses, so i can see far away. when i graduated middle school, i noticed it was getting hard to see distant objects and things were getting blurry again. when i started highschool, i started using contacts which lasted me about a year, then i had to update prescription yet again. here i am senior year and im starting to notice that i will need to update my prescription again. outside of school, i spend a couple hours on the computer almost every day, and a lot of time outside. i've never drank or done any drugs, and i have a very healthy diet/eating habits. when i'm on the computer or playing video games i have made a habit of blinking frequently and staring off into distance outside a window or whatever in order to not strian my eyes. ive never had any problems with contacts (pain or infections etc)
so now that ive given you a short history, anyone care to share their ideas or knowledge about degrading eye sight?

It's not as widely known as it ought to be, but this is normal. Myopia (nearsightedness) usually arrives in late childhood or teens, gets worse until early twenties, then settles down. That is its classic pattern. During those years your eyes change shape as you grow. It is the SHAPE of your eye that decides if you are nearsighted etc. This is why eye surgery alters that shape to correct it.

Poor light, too much reading etc are not causes of increased myopia. It's just genetics, in the end.

Have you been to an eye doctor? There are a number of diseases that impact eye sight. If you have macular degeneration for example, there are some really good threatments out there but you need a diagnosis first.

your eye sight is getting worse b,coz u r old ............. hay i just said a joke......dont consider it seriously

genetics

do you read alot of books ? Cause I have the same exact problem but it is because I read a lot...other then that it could be something wrong with your eyes physically
