Do i have to change my contacts every 2 weeks?!
Question: I have soft lenses and i NEVER sleep with them. I take pretty good care of them. And when i throw them out every 2 weeks, it seems like a waste because they are in good condition. So do i have to change them every 2 weeks? Can I keep them in longer? It just seems like a waste of money?

I have monthly contacts, but sometimes I go over(even another month over!), you'll know that you need to change them when they start itching, not sticking to your eye well or when it becomes a little bit blurry. just at the 2 week mark make sure you rub them around in your hand with solution to clean them well. The "clean clear" poroxide based solution helps them last longer because it cleans them a lot better....just make sure if you get this you read the directions, you cant put it directly in your eye and your contacts have to sit in there for 6 hrs. before putting them back in your eye. You can find it at walmart, its the best solution! hope this helps.
Unless you want a wicked eye infection I would change them. They can also cause your vison to get worse if you use them longer than you are supposed to.
It depends on what kind of lens you have. some lenses you change every day, some you never have to change. talk to your eye doctor.
Every soft contact is different. Some are monthlys, some are dailys, some you can even sleep in. They are all designed differently and break down at different rates. What does the contact lense box say to do? That is what you should follow. It is important not to wear them longer than the instructions say on the box.
