Acuvue 2 or Oasis??!
Question: Apparently I have a problem with my cornea not getting enough O2 and might need to switch contact types. Is Acuvue 2 or Oasis going to be better for more O2 to my eyes?? My Opt. left it up to me on the switch.

Oxygen permeability of contact lenses is measured by a constant called the "Dk." The higher the Dk, the more easily oxygen passes from the air, through the contact lens, to your eye.
Acuvue Oasys: Dk = 103
Acuvue 2: Dk = 28
Oasys allows almost 4 times as much oxygen to your eyes, so it is a much better choice if you are having problems related to low oxygen levels.
(For comparison Focus Night and Day is the highest oxygen permeability lens made with a Dk=140)

I agree with the others that posted so far.... Oasis. I switched to them from Acuvue 2, and I love them.
If your Opt recommends either then I wouldnt stress too much. Asking other people doesnt help as our eyes are all so different. Usually where I go we get to do a trial for 48 hours,
I used the Oasis as I have problems with dry gritty eyes and blurry vision after about 12 hours wear. I use the Oasis long wear (can sleep in them) but I always take them out overnight.
While acuvue 2 may be better, but Avuvue oasis is newer. It also stays wet longer. So i suggest Acuvue Oasis, more moisturization. xD
Oasis will be a much more better choice
