Can an eye doctor tell if someone has a brain tumor?!

Question: Just wondering.

Answers: Just wondering.

Not directly

There are some eye symptoms and signs that suggest a problem in the brain and, in those cases, the eye doctor will recommend that the patient see a neurologist. Most of the time, other possible causes also exist and so the eye doctor can't know for sure if the problem is actually in the brain.

Until brain imaging is done, it is not possible to know for sure if a brain tumour is present.

they can't tell you exactly, if you have certain symptoms that you bring to their attention or if they notice something wrong with your eyes, they will call your doctor and have them run tests(usually an MRI or CT scan) that's how they found out i had a brain anuerysm, i told them certain problems i had with my vision, and they told me they were a little worried and called my dr, they ran tests and found it, saved my life
