Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone else?!

Question: I recently went through an eye exam and received a new perscription. I used to wear no-rim glasses, and bought glasses with a frame like this: http://www.framesdirect.com/framesfp/Gio...

Well, when I picked up the new glasses, everything seemed fine, but they were so strong when I put them on I almost fell over.
But as I wore them for the next two days, it made me feel like my eyes were crossing and I was nauseas and my eyes hurt and I got headaches. Is it possible they made it the wrong perscription? I stopped wearing them because I'm scared I was hurting my eyes!
It had been 3 years since I updated my perscription, could that have something to do with it?

Run, do not walk, back to your optician. It is highly possible you have the wrong script. OR, it is possible the optometrist did not WRITE the correct script. Your glasses should be guaranteed to fit properly !

It definitely sounds like you have the wrong scrip there. Check with the optical vendor to be sure they cut the lenses to the scrip they were given, and if so, then go back to your eye doctor and report this problem.

new glasses should only make your vision more clear.
perhaps the prescriptions were switched, or maybe they wrote it down wrong. that sounds really horrible

Yes, it is possible that they made the wrong perscription for you. 3 years ago was a long time, so yes, it definately have something to do with what you are experiencing right now.
-i hope that helped! good luck!! :D
