Color Contacts? Do they work?!

Question: I was thinking of getting Freshlook color contacts because I don't want to wear glasses 24/7 but I like the advantage that glasses give me, I just tire of the look, you know? Anyways Freshlook has a variety of contacts that are coloured and I don't want to change my eye color I just don't want clear contacts because knwoing me I would lose them. SO I was thinking of getting green eye enhancers with my prescription, but I heard sometimes the contacts can slide around and block your vision. Is this true? And are they worth it?

If you get regular contacts, some brands are tinted without coloring your eyes to prevent loss. I wear Acuvue and they are bluish and easily found-MOST of the time lol

My sister had those and she hated them because they were always sliding around, but do a quick search on google and there are some by this company that make colored contacts which don't change your eyecolor that much, but do stick out and help you from losing them. I forget the company- something with an A I think.

I had a pair of green contacts a couple of years ago
i really liked them they did not slide around at all and to me they were worth it.

I wear contacts and I love them because I SEE A LOT BETTER WITH THEM than I do with my glasses. Try them I think you'll really like them, and if you spring for the extended wear lens, you won't even have to take them out every night. The old style hard lens used to slide off a lot, but the new ones stay right where they are supposed to, you can even swim with them in.

That is why you have to go to an eye Doctor to get fitted for contacts- Yes, contacts are supposed to move slightly, but are not supposed to just suck up to your eyes and not move- that's not healthy! As for Enhancers, if you have light eyes, that would be great for you!

Some contacts come with a slight tint to them....brands like Ciba. Usually if you have dark eyes the slight tint does not change them. Just ask the eye doctor!!!

I have 20/20 vision but I wear the Freshlook Dimensions in Sea Green, to enhance my natural green eye color. They are very pretty and make a nice change, without giving a "fake" look. I've never had any trouble with mine moving around to the point where they obstruct my vision. You shouldn't either, if your eye doctor takes measurements of your eyes, and prescribes contacts according to your pupil size. The contacts will always move slightly when you blink but if they fit you correctly, the lenses will realign themselves with each blink.

If you do decide you don't want the colored lenses, I know that many brands make contacts with what is called a "handling tint," which means the contact has a slight tint to it to help you see it when taking it out of the lens case, putting it in your eye, etc. These tints are only to help you see the lenses, not to enhance or change your eye color. I know Freshlook and Acuvue both offer the handling tints in some of their contacts, and there are other brands that also offer this.

Once you get a scrip for contacts, walmart.com and 1800contacts.com are both great places to order your lenses from at good prices.
