How do computer workers cope with watching the monitor for hours?!

Eventually they grow accustomed to this strain on their eyes, and they either adjust by properly regulating strain and sleep levels, or they gradually wear out their eyesight
(thus, the stereotype of computer geeks wearing thick glasses and being really pale from never getting any sunlight lol.)
Just as your body grows accustomed to drug abuse, physical strains, and many other problems, eyesight also grows accustomed to daily screen presentation as well.
