Yes, wearing glasses will make your vision better WHILE you are wearing them. When you take them off things will be blurry again. Glasses will not cause your vision to deteriorate any faster or slower, as the wearing of the glasses has nothing to do with how quickly your eyes change. Your vision is going to change whether you wear the glasses/contact or not. For some people, their eyes change more rapidly; some more slowly; some seem to never change. Each person is unique and its encrypted into your genetics for the most part.

If you need glasses and you don't wear them, it will not cause your eyes to get worse. It WILL cause you to have headaches, eye strain, and eye fatugue because you are trying to force your eyes to do something that they cannot do alone, due to the anatomy of the eye.

If you need glasses and do not wear them then you can get eye strain and headaches and worsen you vision from your eyes having to work twice as hard for you too see. Wearing glasses will help you to see but it will not restore you vision back to perfect.

Eyeglasses are capable of doing two things and no more...!

Wearing eyeglasses will improve vison while in use and cannot repair a vision loss condition. However, eyeglasses can change your centre of focus because they are able to force you to use your eye muscles to move to the centre focal point of your prescription lenses...

Variable conditions of your vision loss may have your doctor saying you need glasses all the time of simply just for reading and the doctor knows best, not anyone here in YA... Follow the advice of your doctor...

If you eventually have problems un-resolved by your eye doctor then seek an opthamologist for a final analysis as their knowledge is more indepth and upgraded relative to eye conditions than most optometrists and eye clinics...
