Cleaning green discoloration of off eyeglasses?!

Question: I wear glasses and I've got green discoloration (mold?) on the nose piece. How can I have that cleaned off without damanging the frame and eye pieces?

An old toothbrush and some antibacterial dish soap will help until you can go get some new nosepads. That is what most opticians use when patients bring in their glasses and believe me we get some grotesque glasses.

This is very normal....it is not mold. It is dirt and grime that gets embended because it is impossible to clean in this area. You can go to where you purchased them and have them cleaned.....and have the nose pieces changed too. (you should have nose pieces changed every 6 months).

That "mold" is your own facial oils and dead skin building up on the metal of the frame and tarnishing it giving it thr green color. some dawn and COLD water and an old toothbrush do work wonders.
