I need an honest opinion on...?!

Question: I need an honest opinion on contacts. I've been thinking for some time now about getting colored contact lenses (you know, the ones that change the color of your iris). The only thing really preventing this is the fact that I don't even NEED contacts. I have 20/15 vision in each eye, so they would be purely for cosmetic reasons. I can't bring myself to buy them for various reasons, but I was hoping you guys could help answer a few questions for me.

1) Just how much of a hassle are contacts? Are they really that bad?

2) Do you think any of my relationships would be effected by completely changing my eye color?

3) If I can afford them pretty easily, is there any glaring reason not to get them?

Thanks!

I wear colored contacts for cosmetic purposes only myself. They aren't really that much of a hassle. You just really need to be sure that you clean and store them properly, and change them as directed by your eye doctor.

I don't see how it would affect any relationships. People are supposed to like you for who you are, not how you look.

I don't see any reason for not giving them a try, as long as you are positive that you are ready to be responsible with them, and take care of them properly. It's fun to have a change sometimes.

It will take you a little while to get used to them. When your pupils dilate, you will see a ring where the colored part of the contact is. It took me about a week to get used to that, but now I'm just fine.

I do recommend the colored contacts in the enhancer types though. A lot of the opaque colored lenses that give you a dramatic change tend to look very obviously fake. The enhancer type colored contacts such as Freshlook Dimensions are designed to enhance, but not completely change your natural eye color. They just add a different shade to your eyes, but will also blend well, so you don't get that fake look.

coloured contacts can be fiddily to put in at first after a while they can be easy peasy, as they are for cosmetic use only they would be cheap anyway, i why would they affect your relationships if you look good i would have thought they would enhance your relationship!!
the only hassale is cleaning but then again you can buy disposable ones hope that helps!!

-no they are not. I would recomend them over glasses anyday! The only part I find is a bit of a pain is putting them in. I sometimes blink and it takes a few times for me sometimes. But no they are amazing not bad at all.

2) Do you think any of my relationships would be effected by completely changing my eye color?
- I personally perfer the natural color or someones eye. I do not like colored contacts on people becuase it makes yoru eye look fake. Although what ever floats your boat.

3) If I can afford them pretty easily, is there any glaring reason not to get them?
- I do not see any reason why you shouldnt get them if you wanted them.
