Does staring into a microwave really hurt your eyes?!
Question: when I was younger I would always lean over and stair into the microwave when the food was cooking. My parents would always say that i was damageing my eyes when I was doing that. Could this be true, i figured all the micro-waves were traped inside the microwave

No microwave ovens should leak, so looking at the *oven* should be fine. But the microwaves themselves are dangerous.
I've personally seen just two cases of microwave cataract, from leaking ovens.
No more than looking at any other light.
I heard it can give you radiation poisoning though.
