I have 1 blue eye and 1 green eye... why?!

That's pretty cool! Genetics are tricky that way...I used to know a guy that had one blue eye and one brown eye. His mom had brown eyes and his dad had blue eyes. It's pretty rare to have two different colored eyes so enjoy your uniqueness!
EDIT: You have 2 different colors because your parent BOTH have recessive genes regarding their eye color(hazel). There was no dominant gene for eye color to take over.

It's called heterochromia and it's usually inherited. Check it out on wikipedia:
Its Heterochromia. It could have been genetically passed down to you. Or there might be some medical reason for it.

It's hereditary. Even though your parents have the same eye color, blue is a recessive gene in one of them.
I think it is beautiful when people have 2 different colored eyes. Consider yourself lucky!
