Do eye pillows really work and are they long-term effective?!

Question: my eyes are feeling a bit tired, especially my right eye, maybe it's because i have to stare at a computer all day long, do eye pillows really help in the long term? or are they just another selling product with misleading ads?

I've never used an eye pillow. I'd imagine it has the same effect rubbing your eyes has when they're tired and that it wouldn't do anything long term.

Cold eye packs would probably make your eyes feel better faster but not help long term.

What would really work though would be trying to reduce your eye strain that you get a the computer. First of all, find out if you need glasses for up close. Some people develop focusing problems when they have to work up close all day. And everyone over 40 looses focusing ability and eventually needs reading glasses or bifocals for up close.

Other things you can do to reduce strain is push the computer as far away as you can and take little eye breaks every 20 min or so where you look far away to relax your focusing

Hey, I acutally use an eye pillow, I use to have a lot of eyestrain and found out about eye pillows... they actually do work and your eyes feel really good after about 15 mins...

i like to leave it in a cold room till I need, it feels even better that way, make sure your completely relaxed when your using it tho to get the full benefit

i also find it works best if you do it in an already really dark room

cheers!
