I'm not sure. Maybe aging has to do with it? Maybe as you get older, your eyes lose their luster and the color fades...I'm not sure. The only time I've heard of eyes changing colors are in babies. Babies can be born with light eyes but they darken as they get older. My ex had gray eyes as a baby and now they're hazel. You should ask a doctor or someone who specializes in eyes.
