Using computers puts a strain on your eyes.... contributing to the deterioration of your eyesight.

However, there are things that you can do to reduce this strain. These articles give some recommendations:

no but it can make your eyes tired. take a break from staring at the screen and look out the window occasionaly it will feel better

After A Long Time You Can Damage Your Eyes. Go To A Computer Store And Try To Find A Screen That You Put Infront Of Your Monitor To Protect Your Eyes. But For Better Results, Just Use Less Time On The Computer.

yes it can, especially if you are in a dark room. Your eyes have to strain more to read/see the screen.

I have had this happen to me. When I turned 21, I had to get glasses and was told it was due to spending more that 9 hours a day in front of the computer

yes it can, and it doesnt take long if you are not using an LCD display. Try reducing computer use, and take frequent breaks by looking away from the computer. Sit upright, at least 2 feet away from the computer screen. Get your eyesight checked to see if you need glasses (or if your prescription has changed).

yes it can. If you haven't done so, switch over to an lcd monitor since it's easier on the eyes than a CRT monitor.

Yes. That is after a long period of time on the computer.

Do you have a CRT monitor? Does the refresh rate exceed 80? Do you watch your CRT monitor under florescent lights? This can cause eyestrain - switch to an LCD monitor - they are no longer as expensive as they used to be. And see an eye doctor - it might have nothing to do with your computer monitor.

computer screen will not damage you eye. continuous hours in front of monitor make you eye tired and pain.
leave you computer screen every one hour and look for green for a 5 minutes.
it make your eye rest.

It does not necessarily damage your eyes, but it can create vision problems.

It's the same thing with reading for long periods of time. Quite often your vision becomes blurred or it hard to see.

Make sure your monitor is the recommended distance for your eyes. Take breaks. Even if it means turning the monitor off for a few minutes or doing some paperwork. Or you can just close your eyes.

If I spend too much time on the computer, my vision is blurred.

Only if you stay at the screen for a long time. Like me now I have glasses because I would always watch t.v and go on the computer.

Do you know what.Im no expert but I am nearly 70% sure that staring at the computer over time will wreck your eyesight
