How can I Train my eyes to see better?!

Question: 2 years ago I had 1.00(100 degrees ) in each eye. Now I have 4.00 (400 degrees) in each eye. I just started putting glasses full time. I am 13. Is there any way i can train my eyes to see better? Or should i opt for LASIK in a couple years?

You cannot really "train" your eyes to see better. Most refractive errors are genetic and therefore, out of your hands to control. You're 13 and going through a lot of changes right now (puberty) which effect every part of your body; even your eyes. When you hit 18, 19, 20...things will slow down and stabilize and you will not have such drastic changes in your vision.

LASIK (or any refractive surgery) would be an option once you hit that point of stabilization. The best thing you can do for now is keep up with regular visits to your Optometrist. You could also look into getting contact lenses. You're at a good age right now to ge them. I'm sure you would prefer to not wear your glasses if you don't have to, and contact lenses would be a perfect solution until you are of age to decided if you want LASIK or refractive surgery.

if your eyes have changed that much in two years i don't be live they will perform lasik on your eyes. there might even be an 18 year old requirement in most case.

Your eyesight does not stabilize until you are about 18-19, so lasik is not an option right now.

There's an *outside* chance of your myopia not being as bad as it appears.
A good refractive examination with cycloplegic drops should detect this, and should be done at least once with anyone whose myopia is progressing rapidly.

If ciliary spasm is proven, eye exercises *can* help. but this is only in a small minority of cases.
(which, in my opinion, provide the basis for the overblown "myopia control " websites that can be found).

LASIK or any other refractive surgery will not be recommended until your prescription has been stable for some time, if then. It's not for everyone, as the FDA site points out.
