As long as its an ophthalmic quality frame (meaning not a pair of dollar store magnifyers) and it is in good shape and will work with your prescription, they should be able to do it. Some places will charge a nominal fee for using an outside frame. In the office I work in, we charged a "pattern fee". Our edging equipment used patterns and if the frame was not one of our own, it meant the lab technician had to fashion one by hand, which can be tricky and time consuming. Now that we have a patternless edger, and the machine traces the inside of the frame, we no longer have a fee.

Also, since the frame was purchased elsewhere, they may tell you that if something were to happen to the frame during processing, they can not be held responsible and they will not replace it for free and you will have to purchase one out-of-pocket.

Best thing to do is take the frame in with you, let them have a look at it and see what they say.

Good luck!

I don't see why not!

Depends on the frames as to whether or not they can fit new lenses but usually most opticians can do .

Oh yes, some of them do. I brought a pair of my glasses into specsavers and they fixed them for me with no charge. All he had to do was tighten a screw but a lot of people would've put at least some charge on it.

You will have to ask them!. If the frame is in good shape & is made for optical lenses there shouldn't be a problem but a lot of places won't use outside frames.

The frames must bear a legible CE mark for glazing at an opticians, also the prescription must be appropriate for the frame, many curved fashion sunglass type frames will not take optical lenses as the curve required to fit the lens securely would result in loss of visual quality. The practice I run is happy to glaze any frame fit for the purpose.

I work for vision express and we do, and you'd have the glasses back after 1 hour!

Should do as i had an old pair of glasses and they put the glass into the frames and with no problem so I cant see why they cant see why they cant do it for you.

yes will ok
