Help with Contacts Please!?!

Question: I have worn glasses for 3 years now and just got my contacts a few days ago. The doctor put them in and took them out so easily but I seem to be having trouble doing so alone. I`ve wet them enough and have no trouble holding my bottom lid down but top seems so hard so hold up. And everytime I actually get it near my eye, it reverses and sticks to my finger. am I doing something wrong?

I can take several years to get used to sticking something in your eye.

I suggest raising your top lid as much as possible (place your finger just under your eyebrow and lift), as your holding down your bottom lid. Look downwards (not so much that you cannot see your full iris) and gently touch the contact to your eye, it will mold to your eye itself.

If your contact is turning inside out while it is on your finger it can either be too wet (a quick rinse with solution, a little shake, and a drop of solution in the lens is all you should need), or alternatively it could be inside out. With the contact on your finger you should be able to look at it sideways and have it form a perfect bowl. If you continue having problems or you find that your are accidentally turning the inside out visit your optometrist. He/She will be able to give you further instructions as well as stamp a number on your contact so you can tell when it is inside out.

It's difficult at first but you will get use to it. The eye is not meant to have for in objects in it. Thats why you will probably have a hard time but stick with. Soon it will become normal.

I know what you are going through, I went through it many years ago. This happens when you are first beginning to use contacts, but it also can happen if the contacts are backwards. Believe it or not, contacts have a right side up and it they are "backwards" then they tend to stick to your finger. Try putting them at the very tip of your finger and hopefully it will work.

no, thats normal at first, but you will eventually get used to it. it took me months to get used to mine!
