How can I tell if I'm wearing 1 of my contact lenses inside out?!

Question: It feels fine but my vision isn't as sharp as when I wear glasses. Is that normal? I just got contacts, so I don't know.

If it's inside out you should know by feel and by sight. It's really not as hard as you would think; If you put it in wrong you will have the feeling that there is something in you eye, instead of the feeling you should have of complete comfort.
It is extremely normal that your eye sight will never be as good in contacts as it is when you are wearing your glasses; We all learn to give up a little for our vanity.i wear bifocal contact lenses and my eye sight is still far from 20'/20'. When I go out to eat i still need reading glasses to see a menu, and I need glassess when shopping to see prices; But all in all I can see the world much better with my contacts

hope I've put your mind to rest about your issues

I barely got contacts last year, but when my contacts are inside out I can feel it when I blink.. I can't explain the exact feeling, but it happens every time I blink. Also I think its normaly for things not to seem so sharp.

I agree.. it irritates the eyelid and the clarity isn't as good. Just my experience.

when theyre the right way, the contacts will look like a curved bowl. if theyre inside out, it wont be curved. plus youll know cuz if its uncomfortable in youre eye, then theyre probably inside out.

Things will not seem as clear, you may sense irritation, or a bubble may be visible when the contact is on your eye. If you hold it on the tip of your finger, you might be able to look carefully and see a "123." If this is right-side up, the contact is going the right way, but if it is upside down, then you need to turn the contact inside out. Also, if it is flipped the wrong way, it will typically look a little wrinkly.

some contacts have letter on them that if you hold them up will be inside out if its backwards.

or take it out flip it over and put it back in,

if it feels worse, flip it back.

if you can see better and it feels better leave it in.

never leave a contact in your eye if it feels funny or bad.

you should only be wearing them for a short time at first.

I don't care what they tell you, don't wear them overnight when you sleep. they will get too dry. it's ok to take a nap.

your vision will not be as sharp as when you wear glasses.

get in the habit of doing one eye first then the other always in the same order so you don't mix them up.

don't forget your sunglasses when you leave the house :)

The way I can tell is that they just don't sit right on my eyes. They feel strange and move around everytime I blink. As for sharpness, that's normal. Soft contact lenses don't offer sharpness of vision like glasses or hard contact lenses but they make up for it in ease of insertion and comfort.
