Can you see correctly when wearing contacts inside out?!

Question: I have two different prescriptions for contacts. One is a very thick contact and is easy to tell if it is inside out, the other one is very thin and flimsy and it is almost impossible to tell if it is inside out. I put it on the way i think it should go, and my vision is fine, but it irritates me some days and not others. Would I still be able to see correctly with it inside out?

You can see correctly when wearing contact lenses inside out. I know because I did it this morning! I have recently changed to a new type of lens, and the new ones are much more flimsy than my previous ones, and no matter how many times I turn it inside out and hold it up on my finger and look at the curve, I just can't tell if it's inside out or not!

The only way I can tell if it's inside out or not is after a couple of hours of wear - it feels a little uncomfortable and irritates my eye. I always carry a little bottle of solution around with me, so I just find a mirror, take out the lens, give it a bit of a clean and turn it around! And then it's always fine after that.

So basically, other than a little bit of irritation, my vision is not affected if the lens is inside out!

Try to remember that a lens is usually sitting inside-up in its unopened container, so if you make sure you take it out the right way then there should be no problems!

No, it doesn't work. I tried it.

I don't think so.

Yeah but it'll cause irritation and move around.

Best way is wet it thoroughly and look at the edges, or even better fold it both ways under water (saline) and see which way it is more comfortable with.

Dailies eh! load of crap.

You can tell if it's inside out. It usually doesn't stay on the cornea. It should keep slipping or may even pop out. Also when you place the curved side of the contact on your finger, the edges should not curve out--that should tell you it's inside out. It should curve inwards like a cup. It's hard to see when it's not put in correctly. That's probably why your eye feels irritated.

No, if it's in inside out, it will probably irritate you to the point that it will come out. To tell if you are putting it in correctly, use the solution to wet it then put it on the tip of your finger. If it's the right way, it will be a perfectly round little cup. If it's wrong, it will be more oblong with two of the sides curved up more than the other sides.

Why are you wearing contacts inside out?

I had the same problem of not being able to tell if I was putting it in right. I found out there is writing on the contact so now I hold it up to the light and read B&L (mine are bausch and laumb) just below the edge of the contact I know it is in right. If the B&L is backwords I know it is wrong. Hope this helps. It eliminated alot of frustration for me trying to figure out if I was putting them in right.

The eyes willn't feel comfortable and the image will be blur
