there are no bad effects as long as you don't go too long (which means the lens is falling apart =P) because the protein is cleaned off each time you put it in the cleaning solution overnight.
the only problem is that your vision gets blurry because the contacts wear out.
i also use bausch and lomb contacts. i go over the time limit always b/c i forget. it's OK to do that. just know that you won't be able to see clearly after a few weeks.
Where are your back-up glasses?
You need to cleaning and disinfecting your contacts daily anyways - but keep in mind - the longer you have funky lenses the higher the risk of eye infection. I certainly hope you are not sleeping in them, by the way.
Please plan ahead and get enough lens supplies or have a back-up pair glasses so that you don't get pink-eye, corneal ulcers, or have an old lens disintegrate in you eye socket so that the pieces get stuck behind your eyeball. I have seen all of these things happen when contacts are not worn properly over the last 10+ years of working in optics. If you ask your eye care professional, they might give or sell you a single pair if you order your next supply from them.
Good luck.
