Sunbeds and eye damage?!

Question: would going on a sunbed just once cause eye damage or would it only occur over a period of time?

Ultra-violet light can damage the eyes. Exposure can cause the white of the eyes to degenerate and become raised (pingeculae), you are more likely to get cataracts at an earlier age than normal and you could get retinal damage. It is accumulative so 1 exposure will not cause damage.
I personally would be more worried about the risk of skin cancer... sunbeds are seriously ageing and can cause cancer- great!

not if you wear the goggles

edit: you must wear your goggles at all times..the lights are very damaging...please use them you wont get goggle marks :)

Depends how long you were on there for...it's possible

it might not be if you have worn it.

A sunbed can cause damage to your retinas . Even going on once is enough to cause damage .You should always wear goggles. I know of a case where a young women went blind because she used a sunbed twice without eye protection.
