Is it OK to use expired contact solution?!

Question: I have two full bottles that have never been opened - are still sealed - and just expired this month. Can I still use them? If not, why?

I think you would be safe using them since they expired only htis month. It would be wise to use it as fast as possible. If you notice any stinging or burning, discontinue.

I wouldnt use it, go to the store and get new ones they arent that expensive... and you wouldnt want to risk your eye sight to find out if its ok would you? theres an experation date on them for a reason. Its not like expired cereal or w/e your depending on that stuff to clean your contacts and when its old it probably doesnt work. Just go get a new bottle. hope i helped :D

It will probably be good 5 years from now. There is a date on everything now.

Since they just expired this month, you're probably safe for at least another month if you really wanted to stretch it. However, why would you take the risk? A bottle of contact solution is only a few dollars, and if the expired solution hurts your eyes, repairing the damage will probably cost more than a few dollars.

All in all, it's probably all right for about a month, but I wouldn't recommend it.
