Sit at least 20 inches away from the computer and have the top of the screen at about the same level as your eyes. You should be able to read the screen without it hurting you neck or leaning forward and backwards.

Take a break every 20 minutes and look at objects that are far away so your eye muscles work differently. Your eyes use different muscles for close up and distances so changing the muscles you use help and relax your eyes.

Blink more often. When you are looking at screens, your eyes don't blink as much and this allows them to become dry and you can strain your eyes. By blinking more regually and being conscious of it you will keep on putting water into your eyes.

Tilt the monitor 10 to 20 degrees away from you, which gives you a better viewing angle. Change the fonts and colours on your screen to more neutral ones that you can easiliy view. Hope this helps.
