Unexplainable night blindness?!

Question: I went to opthamologist about this, and he saw nothing wrong with my eyes except that I have myopia and a thick cornea.

How severe is the night blindness?
Could you be expecting more of your vision than *anyone* gets?
You are not at extra risk, however, if you do have a genune night-vision problem and it hasn't yet got a diagnosis.
(This is good and bad news...)
The only night blindness which is really treatable comes from vitamin A deficiency, and if there is significant night vision difficulty there would normally be other symptoms of lack of Vitamin A to give a pointer: (rough and dry skin, dry eyes and corneal inflammation).
Similarly if the vitamin deficiency is not simple but the malnutrition is associated with celiac disease, cirrhosis of the liver or cystic fibrosis.
If nightblindness is your only symptom this seems unlikely.
If you have other symptoms, check with your normal doctor.

Otherwise there is, I'm afraid, generally no active treatment for the range of relatively rare and largely genetically determined night blindness conditions.
All of these however, as far as I am aware, leave a distinct trace on the retina, which an ophthalmologist could spot.

If there was nothing visible, and other visual functions were normal (acuity, field...), only regular monitoring every six months or even annually would be needed, principally to exclude things like glaucoma and macular degeneration where night blindness can be part of the problem.

Yes, on the information you've given it remains a mystery.
But piling test upon test trying to find an exact cause is unlikely to be a good idea.

Best wishes,

There is a thingy on the wall, with a little thingy sticking out of it. Push the little thingy in the middle and...mirabile dictu...
you will be able to see.
