It worked great for me; but you need to discuss the risks with the doctor. Its free to go for a consultation -

best of luck!

i got it done a few years ago and am so happy i did it! my only advise is to do it sooner rather then later. if you do it as an older adult, theres a greater chance that your eye sight will deminis again.

it is a little scary but its well worth it. it is painless. but the sights and smells can be intimidating.

I have an acquaintance that had both eyes done at the same time and she ended up blind in both eyes and had to quit teaching. The procedure is performed often and the odds of having a problem are very low, but it does happen.

I would do one eye at a time. That would ensure that you'd be able to see after wards.

get the PRK. It's better than plain lasik. it takes longer to heal and see, but it's better vision in the long run. I had it a month ago. my eyes were dry as hell the next day, really bad the day after, and a dramatic vision improvement 3 days after. I had 20/20 both eyes a week after surgery, and my vision's still getting better. consultations are free. if you wear contacts, keep them out! it messes w/ your eye and can cause a doctor to have a mis-diagnosis.

I don't believe Paul. There are no documented cases of anyone going blind. I do agree that it is safest to do one eye at a time. I had both of mine done and am thrilled with the results. I haven't met anyone who isn't. I had lasik with intralasik at the best place in town. They have the newest equipment and laser (allegretto).

Yes, it is really good. No regards doing it.
