(10 ez points) Does putting a flashlight in eye kill eye cells?!

Question: I did. It's pitch dark and I stood in front of the mirror and flashed the flashlight in my eye and the little black circle was going bigger and smaller. Does this do damage? It was like 4 feet away from the eye.

no but it can damage your retna if its held too close

the reaon your pupil was changing size was just a reaction to the light

no, it just dialates ur pupils like crazy and takes a while for u to see again

you probably shouldn't do that. I'm wondering what looking at the computer screen is doing to my eyes. Probably not good.

doubt it. probably damages then though.

It'll be gone by morning. But don't make a habit of doing that.

its the eyes natural defense, its like transition lenses built in, but you probably shouldn't do that anyway...

black circle is your pupil, it is the light filter so it was doing what it was supposed to. It keeps too much light from entering the eye by shrinking in bright light situations.

depends on the light

a laser does

a flashlight won't

maybe don't do that again

it wont kill them, but it can harm the retna, and cones (recievers that respond and tell colors)

ive actually never believed that...ive looked into the sun and shined flashlights into my eye...along with laser pointers into my eye..only like an inch away from my eye.haha. and i have 20/20 vision. so idk if it does or not

No, it doesn't damage you cells although I wouldn't recommend it. When you walk around in the dark the Pupils become bigger to help see better, but if you flash something bright in the eyes then the pupil become smaller to adjust to the lights.

Yes you will be totally blind in 2 to 3 days. Just kidding ..... my bad. I really don't think there is any danger as long as it was not a super bright beam. Eye doctors use that method to test your pupils so even though they use a small light and only hold it on the pupill for a few seconds I doubt that they would even use any form of light if it was dangerous.
Gimme 10 points please.
