Folded Contact Lense in the Eye...?!

Question: Earlier in the day, while wearing my contact lenses for 3+hrs, I felt some pain while blinking my eyes. When I checked, I found that the contact lenses were folded in half and were lodged in the corner of the eye. I immediately took them out. Now, occasionally when I blind, I still get the same pain. I was wondering if this is something serious I should be worrying about or that it will heal sooner or later.

Thanks in advance. =]

Should be fine. Happens to me a lot! Unless it gets quite red or itchy you should be fine! Your eyes are most likely just a little irritated. Might want to use some re -wetting drops if you have them handy. I have even had a contact lens get lost behind my eye! It is hard to get out, but no harm done.
Take Care!
(If you have any doubts, call or see your opto. but this is really quite normal.)

OUCH!! You may have scratched your cornea and you may have torn or split your lens. That would explain the pain. go to your ophthalmologist as soon as possible, this is your eyesight we are talking about here.

No, that's completely normal.

It sounds like you either scratched or irritated your cornea. It shouldn't be a major deal. If you have glasses, try wearing them for a couple days to let your eye heal. If the pain continues, talk to your eye doctor to make sure nothing else is going on. Hope this helps.

You should be ok tomorrow if you take them out overnight.
