Haveing eye problem and Dr's can't tell me what's wrong?!
Question: I have developed abnormal blind spots in the lower areas of my vision in both eyes w/in the last 2 months.
I went to 2 different Opthamalogists and both said my eyes are in perfect condition. Then I just saw a retinalogist and he treated me as if I were just stressed out and suggested I talk to my PCP about some anti-anxiety meds. He said he had no idea what was wrong with my eyesight, and wants me to wait 3 more months to see if anything changes.
Is it just me or does anyone else think my problem wasn't taken seriously?

I am also having some weird vision problems but my eyes themselves are in great shape. It is possible that, like me, you actually have a neurological problem that is manifesting itself visually. Any problem with the part of the brain responsible for "interpreting" what the eyes see can lead a person to think it is the eyes themselves that have a problem. There might be other things also but this I know for sure. There is nothing wrong with seeking a third opinion if you can afford it and asking if the problem might lie elsewhere. Also, be as specific as you can about anything else you might be experiencing. Part of the reason I sought out a second doctor is I did not feel comfortable enough with the first to fully relay ALL the difficulty I was having partly because he did not take me seriously even the first visit and I was afraid he would call the guys with strait jackets instead of looking for answers. The second doctor has been most helpful. Good luck to you.
