Wal-mart contacts?!
Question: i have an appointment to get an exam and contact fitting on Tuesday. I keep hearing they give you a trial pair to see if you can wear them...does the trial pair have your script in them?? or is it like a placebo?? and i would still have to wear glasses w/the trial pair?? i believe my eyes have changed a little but i think its overall a common script.

I work for an optometrist, and we give first time contact wearers a trial with their prescription in it. The patient tries that pair out for a few days or a week, and if it fits and they can see well through them- they order a supply of contacts. If you have astigmatism then contacts may be harder to fit to your eye. If you put your glasses on with your contacts it will look blurry or give your a headache. The only time glasses are worn with contacts is when the prescription is so strong nothing else can be done. Well good luck, I hope everything works out!
yeah they give you like a two week trial pair that alomst fit your perscription and then when your come in you will switch them out. and no you dont wear your classes with them unless there out of your eyes. but if you have a common script then they may have a scrip to better match your eyes till yours come in.
My aunt goes through walmart to get her contacts an they first gave her a 2 week trial period that was close to her script.
i never went to walmart for an exam but i went to costco which is the same, after the exam, they give you a trial that fit the prescription and have you come back after a week or two to check if the trial contacts are okay. you do not have to wear glasses with the trial but in the future, such as wanting to buy and wear color contacts, you can order the contactsas plano (-0.00) and just wear your prescripted glasses for the appearance, because some people think wearing without their glasses make them so different, etc.
