Does anyone know why I see different tints with different eyes?!

Question: I don't know if this is something anyone else experiences. I've never really asked before.

Sometimes, if I look at something with only my left eye and only my right eye, I realize that theres a different tint. With one eye, things look a little more blue-green while things are tinted a little redder when I look through my other eye. It's very subtle but its definitely there. I'm not even always aware of it. Like, now I'm not really noticing it, but if I'm laying around and relaxing or something, I can tell it's there. The same eye always has the same tint.

Does anyone else ever notice this? Why might this be?

This is similar to the affect that causes some people to be 'colour blind' It's a defect in the colour-recognising rods at the back of the eye. You, apparently, have only a very mild case in one eye

Yes I see that too. Try holding hand over one eye, and exposing other to light, the iris will constrict and the other eye the iris will be more open... then things looks different. then change and cover other eye and do the same test. It is interesting

I don't know why this occurs, but I've noticed the same thing. I think that it's kind of like when you hold out your hand in front of you and close one eye and then the other your finger appears to move. One eye has the finger centered and the other doesn't. Probably not much help though.
