Do I have an eye problem?!

Question: Ok have any of you flexed your eyes? they feel a tad bit funny and your eye sight starts to blur. Well it is kind of like that but I am not doing anything to my eyes nor do I have a funny feeling I will be reading a book and my eyes will blur for a few secounds and then go back to normal with out me doing anything. There have been a few times where it has stayed blured. Do any of you know what is happening? Do I have an eye problem?

You sound like you are long-sighted. This means to focus distance or near you have to first focus your prescription then focus on the object you are looking at. As with any muscle, if it is working all day it will get tired so if you then put extra stress on the eye when reading it will stop working properly. Hence blurred vision until the muscle has relaxed enough to start working again.

Go to an opticians and have your eyes tested.

It sounds like you may be having problems with accommodative insufficiency. This is a condition where an individual has trouble maintaining consistent focusing when performing a prolonged near point activity such as reading or computer work. If so, this condition tends to respond well to the use of low powered lenses designed to assist focusing. Hope this helped.

You should consult a Ophthalmologist the Problem may or may not be with the eye could be neurological

I have just seen my optician with the same problem, she advised eye drops as the blurring is caused by dryness, it works for me, but you should seek professional advice, to put your mind at rest.
