Everything about Contacts!!!!!?!

Question: I'm considering contacts because I'm nearsighted and like the colors O.O

Are they complicated to put in and out? Are they easy for people with sinus and allergies (like me) to use?

Thank you =]

I'm nearsighted too, and got mine over Christmas break. It took me around a month to learn to put them in and out, but it varies with each person. I can't tell you anything about colored contacts, because I wear clear ones, sorry. And I don't really think it matters if you have allergies. I wear Acuvue Oasys, and haven't had any problems with them.
Some tips for when you first get them.
If you have really long eyelashes like I do, hold them back or else the lens will pop out.
Get a magnification mirror so it will be easier to put them in and take them out.
When you put them in you can't look away, look at the contact or else it will be blurry in that eye.
Also if ou release your eyelashes too soon the lens will pop out, do it very slowly.
Your lens case needs to be replaced at least every 3 months.
And your contacts must be cleaned in solution for at least 6 hours every night.
And if you are in school bring a lens case, solution, eye drops (made for people who wear contacts) in a Ziploc bag and put it in your backpack.
Also have a seperate case for your house (that you can clean them in nightly)
And if you bring a purse have solution, a lens case, and eye drops (made for people who wear contacts) in a Ziploc too.
I hope you have an easier time learning then I did, good luck!

Contacts are a big deal when you get them, but once you get used to them - you'll never want to wear your glasses again (unless you don't have your contacts in). They aren't too complicated, the eye-doctor will let you take your time to put them in, Most people don't get them in right away, as it takes practice and just a litting teaching of what to do.

I have contacts, and they aren't hard to put in at all. The first week or so it might be a little difficult, but after a few times its so simple you dont even think about it. I have allergies in the spring(sinuses...) and it dosent change the wayi use them, or put them in.

Hope that helped! =D

i recently got contacts at first they were a little difficult to put in just took some time gotta get used to poking your eye but after a little while of having them they get really easy to put in and take out. your sinuses and allergies shouldn't really affect you i have them and im fine. but contacts are definitely worth.

The new brands of soft lenses are great. They only take about a week to get used to. Look into the new silicone hydrogels--they let the most oxygen into the eye and are more comfortable for people with sensitive eyes or tearing problems. Depending on how serious your allergies are, you might have to wear glasses during a bad flare-up. Consult your doc about that.
