Can I get part-time contacts from the eye doctor? Here's what I mean:?!

Question: I only plan to wear them on weekends or at work at most. I can't see getting a monthly plan. Would he sell me once a year lenses? Can I get lenses from the doc "as needed"?

There are two options that come to mind. First you could choose to were DAILY disposiables. These lenses are designed to be put in in the morning, worn all day, and removed and thrown away in the evening. This way you would only use a lens when you needed it. Second option is to wear non disposable soft contact lenses. These lenses are relatively inexpensive and are designed to last for a much longer period of time than disposables. As long as you care for them well, you could just store them when not being worn and then put them in only when needed.

Yes and No. Contacts come in packs of 2 -6 or even more. Your prescription in each eye can be different. Your contact prescription is only valid for one year. You can get contacts from the doctor. Your vision needs and eye shape will determine which contacts work best. You will have to buy a pack per eye (unless RX is the same). These contacts will deteriorate with use and time. You don't need a monthly plan, but don't expect to buy contacts today and have them last a year or longer. Talk to you doctor about this and see what they would recommend for your eyes.

take care of your lovely eyes allways...
