Does your brother use glasses? If not maybe if he has this condition from excessive computer use he should visit an optician for an eye test. He may be prescribed glasses to wear when using his computer or watching television. Meanwhile he should rest his eyes and switch the damn thing off.
Try a cold pack on the eyes, slices of cucumber or damp teabags. The redness is caused by irritated blood vessels and the eyes lack of moisture - so the above treatment helps to relax and rehydrate the eye.
Coloured halos are not a good sign. This could be due to pressure and is a symptom of Glaucoma, so it needs to be checked out ASAP. Glaucoma causes blindness if not caught in time.
I had this in one eye and it quickly spread to the other because it was conjunctivitus. Eyes can also get irritations which causes them to go red but have no infection. If you are suffering from blurry vision, pain, or anything to do with the eyes then go to your GP. Eye sight is precious and should never be taken for granted.
Yes , Ive had this a few times the most ive had is blurry vision the things your saying sound more serious
conjunctivitis is a mild eye infection. some people call it pink eye too. Cold packs help and I believe there are eye drops to help this. Call pharmacy to see if there is any OTC eye drops to help. i had some from the doc.
