Help! I think I'll be blind soon!?!

Question: Help! My eyes are deteriorating really quickly and it's scary!

I got glasses to go with my look and I really like them, but I discovered the more I wear them, the faster my eyes deteriorate when relying on them.

I'm under 18 so I can't get lasic eye surgery for a while.
I'm scared I'll be legally blind before that!

I can't even see what I am writing unless my nose is parallel to the touch pad of this laptop.

This may seem impossible, but under certain conditions your eyes can get better or be preserved. This happened when I was younger but my eyes were only a minor problem then.

What can I do? Please tell me if you know!

Please get as many people's help to answer this regaurdless of how much they know about this stuff.

I don't want to be blind!

Dear xalluneedislovex,

"Help! My eyes are deteriorating really quickly and it's scary!"

I understand completely. Unfortunately, most eye doctors don't seem to care at all.

Take a look at the graph "How Myopia Progresses" here:

The Side Effects of Prescription Glasses - Profusely Illustrated
http://www.geocities.com/myopiacure/Side...

Children CANNOT tolerate the SIDE EFFECTS of the prescription glasses, which cause their nearsightedness to get worse. (This also applies to adults whose nearsightedness still gets worse.)

International Myopia Prevention Association (IMPA) have filed a Petition at the FDA requesting enforcement action to require eye care professionals to issue written warnings to parents that distance glasses worsen myopia in children.
The failure to advise parents that myopia can be reduced or prevented constitutes unlawful misbranding.

Judy B, "No one has ever gone blind from needing glasses."

That's a lie. Thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of people in China and Taiwan become blind every year after retinal detachment as a result of high myopia.

Judy B, "Not wearing the glasses will not improve your vision, wearing them will not make them worse. If your eyes are going to get worse, they will -- its mostly genetic."

That's another lie. Prescription glasses will only make your vision worse which most eye doctors don't want to ADMIT because of business as usual. Take a look at my answer here:

Judy B, "If your eyes are going to get worse, they will -- its mostly genetic."

This statement means "irresponsible". It means I cannot do anything to stop your myopia from getting worse. The only thing I can do, I should do, I was taught to do, is to prescribe you with stronger and stronger glasses.

Myopia is genetics = Irresponsible = flawed education = business greed

If you were BORN nearsighted AND at least one of your parents was also BORN nearsighted, AND at least one of his/her parents was also BORN nearsighted, AND at least one of his/her parents was also BORN nearsighted, AND
