Has anyone ever bought glasses from Target Optical? (in Target stores)?!

Question: I bought glasses from there on Thursday and the associate told me they would call me when they come in. If you have bought glasses from Target, how long did it take for your glasses to come in? Better yet, if you are a lense technician, how long does it take to cut the lenses?!! I know I am being impatient but I really need my glasses.

I've purchased glasses from Target Optical and I got them about 4 days after placing the order. They had a great selection and everything was priced at only a fraction of what I've spent at other places (my prior doctors office and LensCrafters). I would most definitely go to Target again for glasses and think I'll try them for my contact lenses too :)

I go to walmart

Is the lab at the Target facility? If it is, it's usually faster, depending on the type of lenses you need. If the lab is off facility, then the Optical office will have to send your order out to a lab, they will make them, then send them back to the Target office. It also could depend on insurance. If you used optical insurance, depending on the insurance company, they sometimes require that the optical office use their lab, then they would have to be mailed out also. Hope this helps.

Oooh....I'd get your glasses at your optometrist's next time. Not saying Target isn't good or reputable, but your just a customer there. At your optometrist's, you're a patient - and that spirit carries over to the work of the optician. Just my experience. 'Though I did pay a chunk for my specs (about $350 - 2 different rx's (-) with anti-reflective coating).

I've only ever waited a smidge less than a week since I bought my first pair 20 years ago. Okay - back then, mommy and daddy took the hit! ;)

They also took the hit a year or so later, when I got into my first fender-bender, at just 17. When the officer asked me where I was going, I paused, blushed, and told him - on the way to the optometrist! He couldn't hold in his chuckle. Didn't know you could be scared and pissed at the same time!

Oh, I was wearing my glasses - as best I could while the left lens kept popping out, hence my trip. Yeah, officer - REAL funny! ;)
