I had a lot of trouble at first with contacts, don't feel bad about it.

I put the contact on my right pointer finger and pull my bottom lid down with my right middle finger. Then I pull my top lid up with my left middle finger.

Next, make sure to open that eye and look straight ahead when putting it in (you can close the other eye).

Finally, when it first pops in, I pull my top lid OVER my eye, to make sure it pats the contact down and gets rid of any bubbles.

Best of luck to you.

When i put mine in, i have to use my other fingers to hold open my eyes!

If i were you, i would try to go to a different optimist. Tell them about your "small eyes". They may be able to get a custom order... but it will cost more than a regular order. But at least it will fit, (which is what you want)

By the way, I have been wearing contacts for a little over a year... and at the beginning, it'll take a while to get them in. But after a while it'll only take a few seconds like i do.

Well I don't have small eyes, but I do have contacts. Try pulling your eyelids apart with your fingers, and sticking in the contact and rolling your eye around a bit. It usually helps me. Hope it helps and didn't confuse you.

What I sometimes do when my eyes get wet and it is hard for me to open my eye is look up and put the contact on your eye then look down and kinda move it around.

Hope this helps!

Just keep practicing. It will get easier the more times you do it. Hold both lids open when you insert the lens and then once it's in your eye take your top lid with your fingers and place it over the lens so you have less of a chance to blink it out.
