What is ROP? Is it treatable?!

Question: It means retinopathy of prematurity. This is found in some people that were born premature. During the time the fetus was forming, the eyes did not have time to completely form. People with ROP have poor vision and can be prone to retinal detachments. Years ago there was no treatment for this. Now ophthalmologist (retinal specialists preferably) can do laser to a premature baby's eyes to try to seal the retina inside the eye. While this will not cure the condition, it can help them keep what vision they have.
