"Static Vision"?!

Question: From since I was small my vision has been.. well static. Like a television screen. It's not just at certain times or lighting conditions or when I daydream - It's always present. Though it's more defined when dark. I asked my friends if they experience the same thing, but all of them said no. I wonder if something's wrong with my eyes, but I have pretty good vision. It's a light static so it doesn't interfere, it just makes me wonder is all. If anyone knows what it is, what it's called, or any information relating to it, I'd be glad to hear it. Thanks in advance.

There are a few rare retinal conditions that might cause this, such as a "salt and pepper" choroiditis, but if no-one's ever found signs of disease in the eye, one remaining possibility would be "visual stress", "Scotopic sensitivity" or "Irlen Syndrome", a range of names for a not fully understood and still controversial condition.

One of the things bedeviling this field is that it was turned into a money-making enterprise too early, with massive claims of benefit available for a price.

sorry, i dont know what you are experiencing. I recommend you to make an appointment with your eye doctor though. You just never know :)

I've had the same problem ever since I can remember.
I've looked it up on the internet, but no one has a definite cause. Some say it may be migraine auras.
My symptoms are identical to yours.
If you look up "Visual Snow" or "Visual Static" there are a few websites with information on the subject.
