What do you think is better contacts or glasses?!

Question: because im considering getting them

Answers: because im considering getting them

glasses cause if you are late you can grab them easy instead having to stop and put them in or you could get both.

I hated wearing contacts, but each person is different,

Contacts. A lot more freedom, just don't forget to take them out. Best of luck. Plus you can get colored prescription ones if you wanted to.

skinny rectangle glasses loook cool

Contacts, but glasses tend to make people look smarter.

Glasses are useful cuz you can just take them off and on easily. It depends if your eyes are sensitve to contacts. Personally, I wear contacts when I go outside (to school...) cuz I think glasses look weird on me. But I wear glasses at home cuz I just want to relax. Also, glasses come in all kinds of style that are cool, unless you get the colored contacts.

which one are you considering getting. Contacts are nice because no one knows you have them, but they take some getting used to. Glasses are nice because you dont have to hassle with them. I like contacts, personally.

If I had to wear either and I could choose,,,I would definately pick contacts over glasses if they felt ok ...I hate things on my face and I don't even wear sunglasses much ever,,,and if I have to I lose them within every few times I wear them....It is your choice though,,,what feels confortable and works best for you...

I was told by several optometrists that you should never buy contacts if you don't have glasses in a matching prescription. Though contacts can be better for ones appearance, you are not supposed to wear them for more than 10 hours a day, and they cause redness, burning, dry eyes, just to name a few. You can also get a scratched cornea. Even though I took proper care of my contacts, I got corneal ulcers, and now I am almost legally blind. Glasses are definitely better, make sure you get something to fit you face, though. Some glasses can look great, just make sure you get the right ones!

Later on, if you still want contacts, you can get them to wear on special occassions, but they should never be an everyday thing like people think.

In contacts you can do more things with out worrying. The catch is that they rip and get dirty. I suggest contacts if you are nearsighted because they are clearer but glasses for farsighted people. Glasses are good to because you can take them off anytime you want! It is really your decision though...

contacts because they are more comfortable to wear

well, you'd have to still wear your glasses even if you got contacts, because if you wear contacts too long, you're depriving your eyes of oxygen, and you also get these little bumps under your eyelids, and that means you can't wear them for a few months (this happened to my friend and she was devastated).

I just got my trial pair of contacts today, and I have to say that I REALLY like them, only it's a pain to get them in and out when you first start. So if I were you, I would get the contacts, but not wear them everyday. For sports, special occasions, etc, they're very nice, and I would suggest them, just don't wear them all the time.

Like wear them for 3 or 4 days a week (your preference) and then the other days, give your eyes a break and put on those old glasses. Sure they may be bulky and easy to misplace, but they are a necessity. So what I'm basically trying to say is to get contacts, but don't eliminate glasses from your life (mostly because you can't.)

When getting them, go to an eyeglasses store, because there, they give training sessions, which can help you avoid standing in front of a mirror trying to put them in your eye for an hour and a half. Don't be discouraged if they don't work at first though. It's very difficult to get them in your eyes, especially if you never had anything there before. It will get easier with practice!!

But even if you get contacts, they might not work with your eyes. Weird things can happen... for example, when my mom wears them she gets pink eye, so I'm hoping the same doesn't happen to me.

Good luck!

Edit: If contacts don't end up working out for you, you can always get frameless glasses, so that your glasses aren't as evident.

Well I just got my contacts today...
If you are responsible enough, meaning:
*You are able to take proper care of them
*you must wash ur hands with soap and water b4 handling them
*you must clean them with solution for 10 seconds, 5 seconds each side (ur doctor will explain more if ur getting them)
*You can't sleep in them, and must put them in a case full of soultion before sleeping
*you won't tear them
*you MUST NOT let them dry out!!

its simple though, if you can do that, than go with contacts.
Rectangle glasses are hot though =] try contacts, see if you like them. You must come back to the doctor in one week, if you like them you can keep them, if you dont u can get glasses.
btw- Dont get colored contacts, they look fake. Your natural eye color suits you best!
btw-You have to build up your wearing time the first week you start wearing your contacts. 4 hours the first day, 6 the next day, then 8 hours, then up to 12 hours.

i think its better to have both i wear contacts when i go out but my glasses when i am with family or around the house also contacts are easier to lose then glasses but id say get both i mean if you are having a bad eye day sometimes the contacts really hurt and having a back up plan is always good

What bothered me about wearing glasses :
First, how your glasses get all covered with raindrops and you can't see ! And the fact that you can't look sideways, cuz you can't see. You have to turn your whole head so you can see frontwards through your glasses. And how you get sweat droplets on your nose, face, and ears from the glasses in the hot weather and how the glasses fog up in the cold weather.
So contacts were the way for me. But it is an individual decision. My opthamologist is unable to wear contacts, and many others cannot either.
Best of luck to you.

Contacts

I have both, depending on what I'm doing or my mood. I have a choice. I like contacts when I'm outdoors in the summer so I can wear my shades!
